Learning on Demand is BC Housing’s online platform offering on-demand learning for the residential construction industry. It provides a library of videos and courses to support professional development, skill building, and continuing education.

Learning on Demand is primarily designed for builders, developers, trades, architects, planners, engineers, researchers, and policy makers. 

The platform offers a range of topics including residential construction best practices, project management, safety, regulations, innovations and other industry-relevant education

Yes, many of our courses are eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits. Please check each course description for CPD eligibility.

To create an account, click “Sign Up” on the Learning on Demand login page. Follow the prompts to provide your name, email, and professional information.

Once your account is created, click “Log In”. Enter your email and password, and you will be directed to your dashboard.

Yes. After logging in, go to your profile settings to update your contact details, license number, or other professional information.

On the login page, click “Forgot Password?”. Follow the prompts to reset your password via the email associated with your account.

Select the course you wish to purchase. Click “Buy Now,” and follow the checkout prompts to complete your payment.

Yes, some introductory or promotional courses are available for free. Free courses will be clearly marked on the platform.

We accept PayPal as well as major credit cards and debit cards for course purchases

No. Tax is added once the course is in the cart and will be calculated at the checkout.

To earn CPD credits, you must complete the course and any associated assessments, if applicable. Completed courses will be tracked automatically in your account.

Once you complete the course requirements, your CPD certificate will be generated and made available immediately in your account.

Certificates can be downloaded from your profile dashboard under “Completed Courses.”

Most professional licensing bodies recognize our CPD certificates. Check your licensing organization’s requirements to confirm.

You need to report your CPD hours to keep your residential builder licence active. For more information, including how to report your CPD, see Reporting CPD.
